Genesis Science Center

Aerial and ground photography of GENESIS Science Center at 5505 and 5550 Morehouse Drive in Sorrento Mesa, San Diego, shot for JLL Life Sciences in January 2026.

The brief

JLL’s life sciences team was starting the marketing push for 5505 Morehouse Drive and wanted it shown as part of the wider campus: five existing buildings on Phase 3 Real Estate Partners’ GENESIS Science Center, off Morehouse Drive in Sorrento Mesa. They asked for a drone frame that placed 5505 in that context, ground exteriors of 5505 and 5550, the outdoor courtyard, and the conference room inside 5550. Interior access came through the property manager, set for the first week of January.

What we made

• A drone frame over the campus, Sorrento Mesa running west to the Pacific
• 5505 Morehouse from the air and from the parking deck below
• 5550’s glass entry off the corner, and the atrium inside
• The outdoor courtyard and the conference room in 5550, as asked
• Fifteen frames total, delivered on a standard license

On site

We checked the location and the airspace before scheduling, then worked the campus in the first week of January: the aerial over Sorrento Mesa toward the water, 5505’s glass front from the deck and from the air, 5550’s entry with the drought planting out front, and the atrium inside.
