Los Angeles architectural photographer

Sūdenim is an architectural photography studio based in Encinitas, in San Diego County, and we shoot in Los Angeles and across Los Angeles County. A shoot there is booked, planned and delivered the same way as one at home: the planner reads the light, the weather and the airspace for the address, the drone authorization is filed at booking, and travel is quoted on the address.

What we have photographed in Los Angeles

In El Segundo, 909 and 999 North Pacific Coast Highway: two office buildings framed from across the intersection so both stand at full height with the verticals straight, and the frontage on Pacific Coast Highway in the frame, because on a leasing flyer the corner is part of the offer. Also in El Segundo, 2401 East El Segundo Boulevard, an industrial property. In Santa Monica, 2850 Ocean Park Boulevard. In Santa Clarita, 15142 Sierra Highway, sixty frames of a large industrial property. And 4643 West Rosecrans Avenue.

Inside, an office in Los Angeles for AXA. One frame is a one-person focus room shot dead center from the doorway, with the edge of the glass door left in to show how you enter. Small rooms are hard to photograph without making them feel smaller, and one square frame shows the size, the finish and the light without a tour.

Office, industrial, retail and life science: the same kinds of building we photograph in San Diego, from towers and campuses to yards, docks and lab floors. Light and airspace

Los Angeles is a morning's drive from Encinitas, so the drive is timed to the light. The planner shows when the sun reaches each face of the building for the date, which is how a shoot is booked for a window rather than a day. Airspace in the Los Angeles basin is denser than San Diego's, with LAX, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Van Nuys and Burbank each casting a grid. Travel

Travel outside San Diego County is quoted on the address and handled by us; there is no separate logistics conversation. A single property in the South Bay is usually a same-day round trip.
